Hope for the disappearing Borneo orangutans
Monday 27th April 2015
The Borneo Orangutan Survival’s rescue and rehabilitation program for the disappearing Borneo orangutans is what they describe as ‘the largest re-introduction of the great ape back into the wild’.
In the last three years, 167 rescued orangutans have been released back into their preferred lowland rainforest habitat, and a further 700 orangutans are being rehabilitated for eventual reintroduction back into the wild.
