Purchase of rainforest
You can assist in the development of Samboja Lestari by making a symbolic purchase of rainforest.
The cost to purchase 1 square metre is AU$10.00.
From this sum of money the following costs must be met:
- Purchase of the land;
- Construction of roads;
- Erection of local fencing;
- Growing, planting and nurturing of trees (e.g. home made compost, but also water supply in the dry season);
- Providing the local population with small plots planted with sugar palms that they can use indefinitely;
- Regular aerial checks to ensure everything goes well in the area; and
- Financial checks of the project.
